Apple's ipad gets Business Intelligence provided by QlikView,a BI software product of QlikTech, thereby gains the support for live data and analytics spread to Apple's tablet device
To brief about QlikView:
QlikView Business Intelligence software allows one to quickly and easily get answers to business questions. It serves a decision making tool to the business. QlikView, the BI product of QlikTech was initially named as QuikView. 'Quik' stood for "Quality, Understanding, Interaction, and Knowledge." In 1996, the application was renamed QlikView emphasizing its ability to provide users with detailed data analysis with a single click.
QlikView delivers powerful and intuitive business analysis dashboards and reports based on patented association technology. QlikView "works the way your mind works," connecting related data from many sources. Information can be explored intuitively and visually, with drill down detail in a few clicks.
QlikView being QlikTech's award-winning business analysis solution, has also gained significant customer adoption in India, with close to 100 customers- among them are Reliance Life, Reliance Capital, Fullerton India Credit, LG Electronics Ltd., Dainik Jagran, Mid-Day, TATA-AIG General, Parley, Seagrams - and partners, namely Team Computers, Sonata Software, IRT, Computer Solutions & Blue-chip Solutions, says a news release.
QlikView for apple product:
QlikView for the iPhone and iPod touch allows users to access analysis on a QlikView Server. This is the interactive mobile BI application built from the ground up for the iPhone and iPod touch.

QlikView for the iPhone and iPod touch requires access to a QlikView Server, which must be licensed separately. However, Qliktech provide access to public demo server, demo.qlikview.com, by default on the iPhone and iPod touch client. This allows users who download this client to experience the QlikView solution without having to first buy a QlikView server.
Native iPad functionality support:
Multi-Touch Analytics: Touch, pinch or swipe to select data points.
Coverflow:Flip through relevant business analysis, make a new selection and those changes are instantly reflected throughout.
High-Definition Graphics: View the sharpest BI visualizations at native iPad screen resolutions.
Portrait and Widescreen Support: Uses iPad's accelerometer to auto-sense the device's orientation and shifts QlikView's interface to match.
GPS-enabled (iPad 3G only): Automatically detect geographic location to select localized business intelligence information such as customer sales, service or inventory data as users approach a customer or supplier facility.
Integrated Analytics Sharing: Touch the email button on the upper-right of any screenview and share your analyses with anyone.
Mark Sands, The Regional Director of QlikTech for Australia & New Zealand says "QlikView for iPad is fundamentally the same QlikView we see everywhere else, and that's a conscious approach we have taken in terms of our strategy for mobile BIs"
He further adds, "We've taken the user experience that one expects from an iPad and ensured that the same power, flexibility and capabilities that a QlikView user experiences on a desktop PC are available when they are mobile in the office or on the field."
